Scugog Council for the Arts (SCA) Policies & Terms

1. Membership & Media Consent Policy

By becoming a member of the Scugog Council for the Arts (“SCA”), you agree to the following terms:

  • Photo & Media Consent: Members permit the SCA to use any photos, videos, or other image or sound recordings of the member, their work, or their performance taken by or on behalf of the SCA. Additionally, any biographical or descriptive information provided by the member to the SCA may be used for promotional or reporting purposes in various media, including flyers, publications, and online platforms.

  • Public Membership Identification: Members agree to be identified as SCA members on the SCA website.

  • Email Communication: Members who provide an email address consent to receiving communications from the SCA. However, email addresses will not be sold or shared with third parties.

  • Exhibition Requirement: Membership is required to exhibit artwork in the SCA Gallery unless an exception is granted at the sole discretion of the SCA.

  • Financial Audit Exemption: In alignment with the SCA’s guiding principle of financial sustainability, each member acknowledges that the SCA is exempt from conducting a costly full financial audit for the current year.

2. Refund Policy

Scugog Arts does not offer refunds on any purchases.

  • Ticket Purchases: Tickets for events, workshops, classes, and talks are non-refundable. However, they are transferable to another participant if you are unable to attend.
