This exhibition explores themes of pride, visibility, and belonging through the lens of light and illumination. We welcome submissions that reflect the diversity, resilience, and creativity of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
We are seeking:
- Artwork that incorporates light, or illumination (e.g., LED, reflective materials, projection, neon, etc.) Works must use batteries, there will be no outlets available during the show.
- Work that explores identity, pride, community, or self-expression
- A wide range of mediums, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, installation, and mixed media, wearable art.
- Art must be made with street-side presentations in mind. Artists will set up their work using their own displays – none will be provided.

The first-ever evening Pride celebration in downtown Uxbridge, North Durham Pride After Dark replaces the previous Uxbridge Pride Celebration with a more unique and exciting experience. The street will be closed to traffic, creating an immersive, pedestrian-friendly environment featuring live entertainment.

We are seeking: - Artwork that incorporates light, or illumination (e.g., LED, reflective materials, projection, neon, etc.) Works must use batteries, there will be no outlets available during the show. - Work that explores identity, pride, community, or self-expression - A wide range of mediums, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, installation, and mixed media, wearable art. - Art must be made with street-side presentations in mind. Artists will set up their work using their own displays – none will be provided. RULES - Please read carefully before completing your entry. 1) Entry fee is $30. You may enter up to two pieces with ONE entry form. Late entries will not be accepted. Do not fill out multiple forms and pay more than once in order enter more pieces. ENTRY FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. 2) Be prepared to provide good quality, high resolution images of your work. These photos are what jurors will see. We only accept JPEG and HEIC file extensions. Image files must be titled with the name of the artist and the title of the work like so: ArtistName-PieceTitle 3) All work must be original and produced by the artist in the last 3 years. We accept all mediums. Do not enter a copy of another artwork or anything produced under instruction (in a class). 4) If accepted into the show, you will need to be able to deliver, set up, and pack up your own work on the day of the event August 15th 2026. Work must be completely set up for presentation by 5pm. Take down begins at 11pm, site must be cleared by 12am
