Priya Thapliyal was born and raised in India and is now a resident of Canada. She is a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and artist. Priya’s works come from a place of continuous learning. 

With no formal training, Thapliyal calls upon her experiences from her various roles and upbringing to influence her work. Her abstracts pull colours, movements, and textures, from everyday life. It is through her brush strokes that Thapliyal can tell a story, which is often left for the viewer to interpret.
