Paz Cardone
Glass Artist
“As a glass artist, my goal is to make accessible wearable art while upholding the principles of sustainability so that individuals can not only adorn themselves with something beautiful but also contribute to a greener future.” — Paz Cardone
Paz Cardone is a glass artist based in Ajax, Ontario. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Paz is a career educator, and lifelong learner and maker. She started experimenting with fused and stained glass in 2020. Her more recent fused glass jewelry is made of recycled glass from old picture frames, and scrap glass collected from local framing shops.
Her pieces are characterized by the use of solid and clear enamels, which add a unique look and complexity to the glass pieces, often adorned by playful bubbles. She also works with fusible coloured glass, usually firing pieces several times in the kiln to achieve distinctive patterns and styles. Paz is always exploring new techniques and materials in her home studio.
