Pat Neal
Weaver
“My weaving is inspired by interesting textures, hand-dyed yarns and the Canadian climate.”
Pat has been weaving for more than twenty years, drawn to the slow, methodical process of creating cloth from spun fibre. She works on traditional wooden floor looms, adapting historic patterns to 21st-century textile needs, using natural fibres such as cotton, silk, hemp and locally sourced Ontario wool.
Pat is passionate about weaving and sharing her love of weaving with others. Her work has been shown in galleries in Canada and the U.S. and is available at the Textile Museum of Canada’s gift shop.
