The future of our planet is important to Nancy Newman, so she only works with eco-friendly waxed canvas, natural cotton, cork and leather; no synthetic fabrics or polyurethane (‘Vegan leather’).
Nancy has a diploma in Textile Design from Sheridan College of Art & Design and has been working with textiles in various forms for decades. Her experience shows in the quality of workmanship and thoughtful design.
She takes great pride in her work and believes that straight seams, even stitching and sturdy construction are really important to creating a finished product that not only looks good but will last. Her work is about ‘slow fashion’ where you can feel the hand of the maker, and know that each purse was created one at a time, with meticulous attention to detail.
