Kat Senyk
Clothing & Accessory Designer
“I have been designing and creating forever. I design, draft, and sew articles of clothing, accessories, and anything that can be made out of fabrics.”
Kat grew up on Scugog Island where her parents still live in the same lakeside house. Kat left Port Perry for University and it took 22 years, having lived in several cities including Toronto, Ottawa, Oshawa, and London, England, to finally move back to Scugog. Kat now lives in town with her two boys who are 8 and 12 years old.
Kat studied fashion design and worked in the fashion industry in Toronto and England for about 10 years. During this time Kat had her own clothing line; biokat. Eventually, Kat decided to switch up her career and returned to school for architectural technology and multidisciplinary design. Kat has a successful career in the Buildings Industry now.
Kat will always be designing and assembling garments, accessories, soft goods, interior finishings, and anything that involves fabrics and experimentation. Her favorite fabrics are organic; wool, linen, cotton, etc. And she prefers working with wovens over knits.
