Carlannah Chester
Painter and Jeweller
“The beauty of the natural world inspires my imagination and guides my creative process. I create paintings and jewelry to fill hearts and homes with joy, warmth and love.” — Carlannah Chester
Art has always been my greatest passion, a love nurtured from a young age by my talented grandmother, who taught me to see the wonder and beauty in nature. Growing up on a country property in Claremont, surrounded by forests, fields, and flowers, I naturally gravitated toward these landscapes as my earliest and most cherished inspiration. Throughout my life, I’ve enjoyed exploring a wide range of artistic styles and mediums—from wire-wrapped jewelry and watercolour to acrylic landscapes, pen-and-ink drawings, hand-drawn mandalas, and most recently, squeegee art. Painting and jewelry making remain my primary focus, and I have spent many years selling my jewelry at craft shows and showcasing both mediums in two solo exhibitions. Now based in Uxbridge, I create from my home studio, where I continue to experiment, learn, and grow. I’m grateful to be part of a vibrant local arts community and to connect with others who share a love of creativity. As a proud member of the Scugog Council for the Arts, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to share my work and contribute to the artistic spirit of our region.
