Laura Taylor-Shields

Painter

Laura Taylor-Shields is a local artist from Uxbridge, Ontario. She is a multi-talent artist and maker, painting in three mediums, making jewelry from beads, crystals, and chain maille, and creating with a variety of needle art. Presently in her 29th year with TPS, working as a 911 dispatcher, Laura uses her creative talents as a form of stress relief. Her inspiration is often pulled from her travels.

Taylor-Shields can often be found using her talents within her community, to help local organizations in fun and new ways. Her most recent efforts were helping out at the local animal sanctuary and the local Legion Poppy Fund through the sale of non-medical masks.

Her present project is organizing a collaborative community effort of the Uxbridge Poppy Project, a display to honour our veterans past, present, and future in November.
