Memories Gallery Show & Opening with Sweet Art Group of Artists

Sweet Art Group of Artists (SAGA), a group of artists, all attending Open Studio coaching sessions by Artist Marissa Sweet SCA.  They meet weekly to paint on their preferred medium and on their own projects and connect for encouragement and inspiration.

The group uses a range of materials, methods and motivations in order to create. They use acrylics, oils, and other drawing materials. Several of them try to capture the beauties of nature in both landscapes and florals, inspiring the viewer to value and conserve the earth.   A few members enjoy creating landscapes from past travel experiences. Some use human subject matter to paint about interactions, relationships and vibrancy of life.  Others sometimes work in abstracts.

This is the 3rd Group show for SAGA and believe that completing a body of work for the Kent Farndale Gallery will stretch their abilities, and connect with the public through their art.  For this show they have chosen the theme, “Memories,” and will create art based on the concept of introspection and memories of the past, travel, meaningful objects and other meanings of the theme word. Join SAGA from 2 to 4 PM for their gallery opening on September 24th, and get the chance to meet all the artists involved!
