Moe Koffman was a Canadian Jazz Pioneer and became a household word with his “Swingin Shepherd Blues” He passed in 2001 after a celebrated, fifty year career. His grandson, Jake inherited Moe’s alto saxophone. Jake has risen to the challenge and then some. Moe’s Legacy lives on, especially in the body and soul of the Celebrated Pianist, a mega star in his own rite, Bernie Senensky. Bernie was in Moe’s Quintet and on several of his recordings. He joins us on the Grand Piano. Peter Telford provides the rhythm section with his magnificent, soulful bass playing.
