Introduction to Kayaking

On Saturday September 21st join us at the kayak launcher on the dock. We will have a tandem kayak and a quasi tandem available for people that want to get their first taste of kayaking and experience the lake. Discuss all the ingress and exit points around the lake including in Kawartha Lakes with us!

The Mission of the Scugog Kayak Club is to encourage a diverse range of paddling experiences on Lake Scugog for all levels while embracing and protecting the rich diversity of the ecosystems of our lake. We aim to introduce beginners to the sport, provide easy-launch systems in many corners of our township and provide opportunities for kayakers to connect and learn from each other on and off the water. By collaborating with local businesses and organizations, we strive to increase exposure to the sport and attract new tourists to the beauty of Lake Scugog and Scugog Township.
