Dog Photography 101: Learn the Art of Photographing Dogs
Whether you’re a dog owner who wants better portraits of your pup, or an amateur photographer curious about working with dogs, this class will give you the foundation to get started. Join award-winning professional pet photographer Vicky Champagne for an inspiring introduction to the art of dog photography.
In this two-hour session, you’ll discover what makes a dog photo stand out: how to see and use natural light, simple camera settings that make the biggest difference, and composition tips that highlight personality and connection. You’ll also learn practical tricks for working with unpredictable dogs, from catching their attention to capturing their playful or soulful sides.
The evening includes a live demonstration with a dog model so you can see these techniques in action. You’ll also receive a special take-home project to continue practicing what you’ve learned.
This class is perfect for anyone with a camera (no cell phones) and a love of dogs. You’ll leave with the tools and confidence to begin building images that feel as special as the dogs themselves.
