Showing and selling work is one of the exciting elements of being an artist. The Scugog Council for the Arts has a number of big opportunities for you this summer. We’d like you to let us know right away if you are interested. If we proceed, you can make final decisions, the SCA can jury the entries and we can sign contracts later. We need to know now if we have enough interest to proceed.

Art Vendor Mandate:
The Scugog Council for the Arts (the “SCA”) is pleased to be able to provide support and promote artists, and to provide assistance to community organizations that promote the arts in Scugog.
The selection criteria established to qualify artists would include the following:

  1. The artist must exhibit an excellent standard of quality;
  2. The artist must have a professional public profile, including a significant and current web presence;
  3. The artist must have a reasonable amount of work available for sale;
  4. The artist’s work must be original;
  5. The jury will aim for a range of vendors representing arts such as painting, drawing, pottery, woodworking, metal art, clothing, photography, jewelry, glass, and fibre arts;
  6. Preference will be given to Scugog artists and SCA membership, but we will engage a broader range of artists from Durham, York and Toronto.
