We would like to thank all those who submitted to this year’s Literary contest.

The judges, again, had a real challenge to pick three winners from the submissions. Judge Dorothea Helms had this to say, “I had a hard time deciding on the winners and rankings. Kudos to all who entered.” James Dewar, our Poetry judge gave this comment, “I enjoyed reading all of the poems and I strongly urge all of the poets who entered to keep writing and entering poems into contests.”

On Saturday November 14 the SCA will be celebrating the winners with an afternoon Literary Event awarding their prizes and offering refreshments. Our winners will be reading their winning works. The afternoon takes place Saturday November 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the SCA Gallery, 181 Perry Street, Unit G-1, Port Perry.

This coincides with our November exhibit “The Pen is Mighty” a show of Pen & Ink paintings by Ron Peter. Do join us for these two exciting arts events. The Pen is Mighty has an opening reception on Saturday November 7  between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Refreshments will be served and will be at the SCAGallery, 181 Perry Street.
