Spark the Arts

The Spark the Arts granting program at the Scugog Council for the Arts promotes the arts in Scugog by offering financial support for arts-related projects in the Township as seed money towards a special project.  Open to any organization, group school or individual enhancing arts within Scugog Township, the SCA invites applications twice a year on May 31 and again on November 30 from interested applicants (applicants under the age of 18 will require a sponsor). Financial support can be awarded up to a maximum of $1,250.00 per grant.

The next deadline for submissions is November 30, 2018.

Congratulations to Seagrave Art in the Park for winning a Spark the Arts grant in the May intake. We look forward to supporting the Seagrave Park Committee in their efforts to provide everyone an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful day in the green space of the Seagrave Park, and participate in a new experience without financial barriers. Enjoy local artist displays and performances, workshops, learn new sills and strengthen your appreciation for art.

Engaging the community in the arts is one of the reasons your Arts Council is here.

Thank you to all who submitted creative ideas for projects in Scugog!
