Our 2014 AGM started with a lovely musical selection while people arrived and mingled. First David Vowel, a pianist and former music teacher played and then Soraya Kazagchi, a violinist from Grade 8, who also plays with the Durham Youth Orchestra. Soraya was able to improvise along with David for a number or two.

The meeting started promptly and two new members were nominated and appointed. We welcome Peter Lauricella, a woodworker, former teacher and business owner and Brad Allen, who operates Allen Computers, known for its great service.

After the formal meeting, four of our Affiliate Organizations had a chance to speak about their activities; Theatre 3 x 60, Scugog Shores Fibre Artists, Port Perry Art Association and Lake Scugog Spring Studio Tour. Many interesting similarities and challenges face all of our groups.
