Call for Artists for the 12th Annual Lake Scugog Spring Studio Tour

Deadline September 2nd, 2010!

Applications are now available for the 12th annual Lake Scugog Spring Studio Tour, taking place April 30 & May 1, 2011. Applicants need not be residents of the Scugog area. Artists from outside Scugog may be accommodated as guest artists in a local studio.

Professional Development Seminar Series Coming This Fall

Following the success of Your Art Won't Sell Itself!

Watch for more information on an exciting series of professional development seminars taking place this fall. Picking up where the successful, Your Art Won’t Sell Itself! left off, the series will cover topics such as websites, business management, pricing and more.

Seminars will take place weeknight evenings through the Fall of 2010. Exact schedule and dates to be determined.

John Crocker Student Film Festival 2010

    The John Crocker Student Film Festival is a youth targeted program that encourages the development of film arts at the high school level throughout Durham Region. With the support of both Port Perry High School and the Crocker family, the SCA is building on the festival from an earlier version that took place at Port Perry High School in memoriam of one of the school’s faculty, John Crocker. 

Applications are still available for the juried film competition to be held in November 2010.Deadline for entry - October 15, 2010

Scugog Shores Heritage Centre and Archives - Call for Craft on Consignment

The Scugog Shores Heritage Centre and Archives is accepting high-quality crafts for its new gift shop, opening on September 10, 2009. The Heritage Centre and Archives is located at the Scugog Community Centre, 1655 Reach St., Port Perry, and will feature local and touring arts and heritage exhibitions/programs in a new state of the art facility. Small and medium-scale work with a retail value of $100 or under is being accepted in such media as basketry, jewellery, pottery, wood, glass, metal, cards.
